Background:
I have extensively studied both pure mathematics (e.g. Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Topology and Geometry) and applied mathematics (e.g. Mathematical Modeling, Statistics, Probability), at the upper division and graduate level, with over 100 coursework hours. I continue to study modern mathematics and its applications to a wide variety of fields. I also focus on mathematics education, both as applied in the US as well as in other countries.
I am currently applying to teacher credential/Masters degree programs in California and have already satisfied the following requirements:
Passed the CBEST and all three CSET math exams (all four exams must be passed before becoming a student teacher in a California credential program).
Over 50 hours of classroom observation (required before applying to credential programs).
Livescan certified (as of May 2011 and valid for 5 years; required before applying)
TB test negative (as of September 2011 and good for 1-2 years; required before applying).
