As a certified special education teacher and high school math teacher for the last 16 years, I has been working with students to overcome the transition from elementary school arithmetic and middle or high school mathematics.

Homework assistance cannot adequately assist students having problems with this transition. An understanding of the student’s knowledge deficits and appropriate corrective teaching is necessary for the student to become independent in the study of mathematics.

With a master degree in Special Education and years of experience, Mr. Haynes has been assisting students through this transition successfully for the last 18 years.  With specific training in teaching techniques for students having learning differences, he has reinforced the concrete knowledge required to move into the more abstract study of high school level mathematics.  Combining this with one on one teaching of the concepts the student is being presented in their current math classes is a sure path for success.
