I have been tutoring students since 1997 and teaching since 2002. My experiences include teaching in both California and Virginia and in both public and private institutions subjects ranging from introductory algebra to advanced calculus as well as preparation for standardized tests such as the SAT I, SAT II, AP, PRAXIS, and GRE exams. I have served as a department chair and on committees for strategically and carefully integrating reserach and technology into the classroom. More recently I have designed processes for middle and upper school mathematics curriculum reform. My recognitions include graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Depauw University and winning the H.E.H. Greenleaf award for most outstanding math major of the graduating class.

I am dedicated to increasing students' understanding of, appreciation for, and aptitude in mathematics in a manner that endures through instruction adapted to the expressed and perceived needs of each individual student. Furthermore I am invested in reforming and refining mathematics curricula in order to ensure that students are receiving high-quality instruction in the most conducive learning environment and considering those concepts most critical and relevant.
